Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe:

A classic Italian pasta dish originating from Rome, featuring creamy sauce, crispy bacon, and Parmesan cheese.

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  1. 12 ounces spaghetti
  2. 4 large eggs
  3. 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  4. 8 slices bacon, chopped
  5. 4 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions:

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and Parmesan cheese. Set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet with bacon and garlic. Toss to combine.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and quickly stir in the egg mixture, using the residual heat to cook the eggs and create a creamy sauce. If needed, add reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
  7. Cooking time: 20 minutes
