Black Bean Burgers with Chipotle Mayo Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Canned black beans, drained and rinsed
  2. Onion, finely chopped
  3. Garlic, minced
  4. Bread crumbs
  5. Egg
  6. Chili powder
  7. Cumin
  8. Salt and pepper to taste
  9. Burger buns
  10. Lettuce, tomato, avocado (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a food processor, pulse black beans, chopped onion, minced garlic, bread crumbs, egg, chili powder, cumin,
  2. salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into burger patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and heated through.
  5. Meanwhile, mix mayonnaise with chipotle peppers in adobo sauce to make chipotle mayo.
  6. Toast burger buns, if desired. Assemble burgers with black bean patties, chipotle mayo, and desired toppings.

Serve hot.
