Ingredients:
- Canned black beans, drained and rinsed
- Onion, finely chopped
- Garlic, minced
- Bread crumbs
- Egg
- Chili powder
- Cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, avocado (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- In a food processor, pulse black beans, chopped onion, minced garlic, bread crumbs, egg, chili powder, cumin,
- salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Form the mixture into burger patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and heated through.
- Meanwhile, mix mayonnaise with chipotle peppers in adobo sauce to make chipotle mayo.
- Toast burger buns, if desired. Assemble burgers with black bean patties, chipotle mayo, and desired toppings.
Serve hot.
