Margarita Pizza Recipe:

A classic pizza featuring a thin crust topped with tangy tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella cheese, and fragrant basil leaves.

Yield: 2 large pizzas

Ingredients:

  1. 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  2. 1 cup pizza sauce
  3. 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  4. Fresh basil leaves
  5. Extra virgin olive oil
  6. Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, preheat it in the oven.
  2. Roll out pizza dough into two thin circles on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Transfer the rolled-out dough to greased baking sheets or a preheated pizza stone.
  4. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Arrange sliced fresh mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Remove pizzas from the oven and sprinkle with fresh basil leaves. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Slice and serve hot.

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Tips:

For a crispier crust, preheat a pizza stone in the oven before baking the pizzas.
