Homemade Pizza Recipe:

Create your customized pizza with your favorite toppings on a homemade crust.

Yield: 2 large pizzas

Ingredients:

  1. 1 ½ cups warm water
  2. 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  3. 1 tablespoon honey
  4. 4 cups all-purpose flour
  5. 2 teaspoons salt
  6. Your choice of pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and honey. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Divide the dough into two portions and roll out each portion into a thin circle.
  6. Place the rolled-out dough on a greased baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough and add your desired toppings.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

Cooking time: 2 hours (including rising time)

Tips:

Experiment with different toppings such as pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, and olives.
