Homemade Pizza Recipe:
Create your customized pizza with your favorite toppings on a homemade crust.
Yield: 2 large pizzas
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- Your choice of pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and honey. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Divide the dough into two portions and roll out each portion into a thin circle.
- Place the rolled-out dough on a greased baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough and add your desired toppings.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
